Rocklin, Calif. – – Today Republican small businessman, and local City Councilman, Joe Patterson (AD05), announced receiving the endorsement of Assemblyman James Gallagher (AD03). In the Assembly, James Gallagher represents the neighboring North State Assembly District.
Assemblyman Gallagher has been a vocal critic of Governor Gavin Newsom’s abuse of power during the pandemic even suing the Governor for his use of executive powers along with Assemblyman Kevin Kiley in a ruling that went all the way to the California Supreme Court.
“Joe Patterson is a conservative voice that I trust to work with me to hold the legislature and the Governor accountable. With Kevin Kiley leaving the Assembly, I need another trusted conservative fighter on my side,” said Gallagher. “Our Governor has extended his emergency executive powers to last more than two years. This attack on liberty can’t continue and I need people like Joe Patterson to join with me and fight to protect taxpayers’ rights, keep our community safe and help families struggling to make ends meet.”
“On the Rocklin City Council, Joe hasn’t been afraid to challenge the status quo and fight for our shared values. He’s been an effective councilmember and a leader of the conservative movement in the region. Taxpayers and families will be well served with Joe as their representative in the State Capitol.”
Gallagher, whose district includes the Town of Paradise, has also been one of the leading voices at the State Capitol on the issue of wildfire prevention and forest management.
“Fire-prone communities in rural Placer and El Dorado need a champion to stop catastrophic wildfire,” said Gallagher. “I’ll work with Joe to fight for policy changes to help clear the buildup of deadly fuels and cut back the rep tape and regulatory hurdles that delay implementation of fire-safe projects.” For more information, visit www.JoePatterson.com.
